Free · Takes about 2 minutes · Original watch dates preserved
How to move from TV Time to TV Track
Three steps, about two minutes. The only thing that matters is doing step 1 before July 15, 2026, after that, TV Time deletes your data and there is nothing left to export.
Export your TV Time data
In TV Time, request your personal data export from your profile settings. You'll get a file containing all your shows, watched episodes, movies, ratings and reviews.
Create a free TV Track account
Just an email and a password. No credit card, no ads, no premium tier gating your own data.
Drag & drop your export
Drop the file on TV Track's import page. Shows, episodes (with original watch dates), movies, ratings and written reviews are restored automatically. Re-importing never duplicates. Done.
Why TV Track is the closest thing to TV Time
Most trackers make you start from zero, only work on one platform, or charge for the basics. TV Track was built to be the natural home for TV Time users, and it keeps getting better every few days:
Full TV Time import, now with ratings & reviews
Shows, episode check-ins with their real watch dates, and movies, plus your show ratings (converted to /10) and your written reviews, with their original dates. Your stats and journal come with you.
Not just TV Time, Trakt, Watchfolio & Refract too
Coming from more than one app? Import your shows, episodes, movies, watchlist and ratings from Trakt, Watchfolio and TVTIMEOUT by Refract as well. Nothing overwrites your library, and re-importing never duplicates.
Up next, automatically
For every show, TV Track computes your next unwatched episode. Open the app, see what to watch, check it off.
Release calendar + daily reminders
Know when the next episode of every show you follow airs, plus upcoming movies from your watchlist. Turn on a daily 9am push notification and never miss a premiere.
Shows and movies, your way
One tracker for both, watchlist, statuses (watching, planned, finished, paused, dropped), custom lists, custom posters, ratings and a private journal with notes and GIFs.
Watch statistics
Total watch time (in months, days and hours), favorite genres, month-by-month activity, the stats TV Time users love, rebuilt.
Your data stays yours
Export your whole account any time in one click, a .zip with everything as CSV and JSON, re-importable anywhere. No lock-in, the opposite of what TV Time is doing.
Free, no ads, any device, 6 languages
Installs to your home screen on iPhone and Android like a native app, works in any desktop browser, and speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Arabic. No app store, no ads, no paywall.

TV Time shutdown, FAQ
Is TV Time really shutting down?
Yes. TV Time announced it is shutting down on July 15, 2026. After that date the app stops working and user data, your shows, watched episodes and movies, will no longer be accessible. Export your data before the deadline.
What is the best TV Time alternative?
TV Track is the closest free replacement: it tracks both TV shows and movies, shows your next episode to watch, has a release calendar with daily reminders, watch statistics, custom lists and ratings, and, unlike most alternatives, imports your full TV Time history including original watch dates, ratings and written reviews in one drag & drop. Other solid options: Trakt (powerful, but key features require a paid VIP subscription), Showly and Hobi (good but Android-only), and Serializd (TV only, review-focused). See the full 2026 comparison.
How do I export my data from TV Time?
Request your personal data export in the TV Time app (profile settings) or through TV Time's data request form. You'll receive an archive with your tracked shows, watched episodes, movies, ratings and reviews. Then drag and drop it into TV Track's import page, everything is restored automatically.
Will my original watch dates, ratings and reviews be preserved?
Yes. TV Track reads the watch dates from your TV Time export, so your history reflects when you actually watched each episode and movie, not the day you imported them. It also brings over your show ratings (converted to a /10 scale) and your written reviews, with their original dates. Re-importing never creates duplicates, so your stats and journal stay accurate.
Can I also import from Trakt, Watchfolio or Refract?
Yes. Besides TV Time, TV Track imports your shows, watched episodes, movies, watchlist and ratings from Trakt, Watchfolio and TVTIMEOUT by Refract. Nothing overwrites your existing library and re-importing never duplicates, so you can safely merge history from several apps into one.
Can I get my data back out of TV Track?
Any time. From Profile → Settings you export your entire account in one click: a .zip with your shows, movies, watched episodes, ratings, reviews, lists and follows, as CSV and JSON, re-importable anywhere. No lock-in, exactly the opposite of losing everything when TV Time shuts down.
Is TV Track free?
Yes, free, no ads, and every import (TV Time, Trakt, Watchfolio, Refract) is included. You sign up with just an email address.
Does TV Track work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. TV Track is a web app that installs to your home screen like a native app (PWA) on both iPhone and Android, and works in any desktop browser. No app store download needed.
